NOTE: you must have 4 batteries of the same size and brand; you cannot charge any other quantity.Blocking diode prevents reverse flow of power from batteries into panel at nightAverage charge time in full direct sunlight is 1-1.5 hours for 4 x 180mA AAA; 3-3.5 hours for 4 x 500mA AA batteries; 9-11 hours for 4 x 1500mA D size batteries.
