The biggest concert in Rock-n-Roll history, Live Aid has just recently become available on DVD, with artist royalties going towards the Band Aid Trust which continue to provide direct hunger relief in Africa. The unforgettable global event, staged in London and Philadelphia on Saturday 13 July 1985, was watched on television by over 1.5 billion people around the world. These concerts led to pledged donations and royalties of over $140 million towards the devastating famine in Africa at that time. The Live Aid DVD features legendary performances from Bryan Adams, Run DMC, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, George Michael, The Boomtown Rats, Mick Jagger and Tina Turner, Elton John and Kiki Dee, Madonna, Paul McCartney, Simple Minds, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Queen, Spandau Ballet, Status Quo, The Who and the finale of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ at Wembley Stadium.
