Handmade Earthenware Tea Set
This unique tea set is handmade from earthenware, one of the oldest materials used in pottery.
The tea pot and mugs are designed to be imperfect with soft, hand finished edges. The tea pot lid has a ceramic base to stop you burning your fingers when you remove the lid.
The artisans who make the tea sets are permanently employed under an umbrella scheme called Artspace. These artisans are provided with housing, medical facilities and education for their children. The older children are also provided further education at training centres to help them learn skills in employment generation programmes. The scheme was set up to provide a platform for growth for skilled artisans who had no form of employment opportunities.
Available in off-white. The set includes 1 teapot and 2 mugs.
